We are so excited to get the new school year started! We can’t believe how quickly the summer passed!

There are a couple of other things we can’t wait to share with you, which are not in the newsletter:
- We are in the process of updating our indoor playroom! The new playset with slides have been installed! There will be some other new changes in the next several weeks as well. Part of this project has been funded by a generous donation from the Porritt family. The Rev. & Mrs. Porritt were serving at St. Paul’s in 1974 when Mrs. Porritt had the vision for Hilltop. After the passing of Rev. & Mrs. Porritt, their children decided to donate some of their inheritance to Hilltop so we can update the playroom! Please save the date–October 5, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. for our Playroom dedication, which will be dedicated in the memory of Rev. & Mrs. Porritt.
- Hilltop has been able to bring the Music Together curriculum to our School Readiness class the last 2 years, which was paid for by the grant. Unfortunately, we could not afford to bring this great program to all of our classrooms…until this year!! In June, I was trained and certified as Hilltop’s Music Specialist by Music Together! By having an in house music specialist we were able to better afford the program for the whole school! So starting in Mid September, all classrooms will have weekly Music Together classes as part of their routine!
